Fad or Here to Stay?

Hey Friends!! So I made this new discovery a few weeks ago. It's called Zumba and, in my opinion, it's a great workout, but also one that you'll have fun doing. It’s an all dance aerobics "party", which, as far as I have experienced, has a highly energetic instructor who truly cares about helping you have fun while getting in shape.

I discovered it a few weeks ago at the new gym that my husband and I just joined together. To be honest, because of the awesome classes that this gym offers, I have used the gym at least twice as much as him :) …..SHHH don’t tell him I told you that! We just recently moved to Georgia from Virginia and we were looking to join a new gym and found one within 5 minutes of our house for a great deal. Anyways, I have been going to classes more than ever before and, in just 2 weeks, have already lost 1" from my waist line, a half inch a week.

When you first start a Zumba class, you’ll probably spend the first week or two learning the different dances, but they are easy to learn and there are always new ones being introduced so the whole class is learning a new ones together. My class experience has been one in which all the members are very interactive and really encourage each other. Don’t worry if you think you have two left feet or think you’re too old or too young to do it. In my class, there are girls who are 12 all the way to women who are in their 70s and are addicted to it! There are also many women who, outside of the class, probably couldn’t keep a beat, but, by following the instructor, they finally get a chance to be a great dancer!

To find out more information about what Zumba is or to find a class close to you, stop by http://www.zumba.com and see what all the excitement is about!

Ok now here's the fun part! For those of you who have done Zumba before, please leave your comments in the comments section of this post and let me know what you think of the class! And, while you're at it, become a fan of and subscribe to my blog! ;)

Greetings Blogging World!

Good Afternoon Ladies and Gentlemen of the Blogging World!

My name is Ariel Tyson and this is my first official post as the founder of “The Healthy and Beautiful You” blog! I am thrilled to begin this adventure in hopes that I will be able to make a difference in the life of each person who reads my blog and enable you to truly live your life to the fullest!

To give a little history about me….

I was born in Florida to two loving people I am very blessed to call mom and dad! I then moved to many different places throughout my early years, including Germany, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and now Georgia. I participated in several activities growing up, including dance, theatre, pageants, gymnastics, and a variety of outdoor activities with the neighborhood kids! As you can see, I was very active as a kid, which is similar to most of us who grew up before the invention of…. video games…. :p

As kids, we had easy access to exercise and keeping our bodies in shape….but as we get older, time becomes shorter, exercise opportunities become fewer and eating out becomes more and more convenient…..and this is where…..

….the trouble begins…

As I said earlier, my name is Ariel and I am your typical busy American woman who truly desires a healthy and active life, but has found that it is not very easy, especially with the many food and entertainment choices that are offered to us here in the country that I am proud to call home!

Outside of my healthy eating and exercise pursuit, I also enjoy helping women take care of their skin and hair and choosing and applying their makeup. This blog is meant to be a resource to you by taking you through my every day experiences with these topics, by answering any questions that you may have, and by introducing you to new ideas and products that will help you achieve the most healthy and beautiful you!!!!

Thanks for reading and I hope you have a wonderful night!
